DIFFERENCE BETWEEN KHAMAN AND DHOKLA

People usually associate the word Dhokla with Khaman whereas they both hold different meanings.

Khaman is made up of freshly ground chana dal (besan) made into a batter and steamed to a sponge like texture and soaked in a sugar and lime solution, Making it way more spongy and juicy.

On the other hand dhokla is made from rice and chickpea flour paste. It is usually white or a very light shade of yellow in color and is comparatively denser in texture compared to a khaman.
